The Manufacturing Assembly Technician III manufactures and assembles probes and other components (as needed), and is responsible for the testing of mechanical and electronic subassemblies and products according to established instructions, drawings and schematics. The Manufacturing Assembly Technician III also assists the engineering team with the creation and maintenance of manufacturing-related documentation and provides technical assistance to in-house and field personnel, as needed, to ensure the routine maintenance of company products and address troubleshooting efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manufactures and assembles complex mechanical and electrical medical devices
  • Performs tests on assemblies and other components
  • Performs tests and routine maintenance on company medical devices and provides service, as needed
  • Supports requests for service parts and technical literature
  • Assists staff with technical problem solving and questions
  • Assists in the inventory management process, such as shipping/receiving of components and products, pulling parts, cycle counts
  • Assists in creating and editing of specification sheets, engineered change notices and manufacturing processes
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomed, Industrial Technology or equivalent other experience, required
  • 3 years of experience in electronic assembly or other manufacturing assembly, preferred
  • 3 years of experience with repair and/or service of computer-based products
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry, or other regulated industry, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills, required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite/software
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or customer service environment
  • Proficiency with soldering small/delicate components
  • Hands-on assembly and testing skills (electrical and mechanical)
  • Experience with lead and lead-free (ROHS) soldering, up to and including, Class 3 Assemblies, preferred
  • Hand-on testing experience with electrical test equipment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IPC experience, specifically IPC-A-610, preferred
