The Manufacturing Assembly Technician II manufactures and assembles system consoles and other related products including sub-assemblies, and supports the testing of mechanical and electronic subassemblies and product according to established instructions, drawing and schematics.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manufactures and assembles complex mechanical and electrical medical devices.
  • Performs tests on assemblies and other components.
  • Performs tests and routine maintenance on company medical devices and provides service, as needed.
  • Supports requests for service, parts and technical literature, including reviewing, drafting and providing overall feedback on standard operating procedures and other device documentation.
  • Assists staff with improvements related to the manufacturing and testing of assemblies.
  • Supports manufacturing and testing of product improvements, design changes and new designs.
  • Provides periodic and emergency service on manufacturing and testing equipment.
  • Provides occasional support for other manufacturing/testing processes as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Associates degree in electronics, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in electronic assembly or other manufacturing assembly, required.
  • 2 years of experience with repair and/or service of computer-based products.
  • Previous experience in the medical device industry, or other regulated industry, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills, required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite/software.
  • Proficiency with soldering small/delicate components.
  • Hand-on testing experience with electrical test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • IPC experience, preferred
