The Project Engineer I (EE) has the experience necessary to integrate, analyze, develop, and troubleshoot electrical, RF electronics and computer components and subsystems, including networked and microcontroller based subsystems. Our Company specializes in the design and development of ultrasound medical devices with a commitment to sustain current products and the ambition to develop new products for its customers. The Project Engineer I (EE) is a member of the Project Team, a multi-disciplinary group of professionals, who will help prioritize, lead, and implement engineering projects necessary to maintain, develop and test the designs of devices to ensure they meet the needs of production, service and clinical applications. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with biomedical, electrical, mechanical and software engineers to contribute electrical engineering know-how and capabilities for new and existing products.
  • Collect and analyze data for verification of system integrity and analyze the electrical design for recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement electrical system schematics and documentation
  • Install and configure engineering solutions and conduct testing.
  • Troubleshoot and solve electrical and computer system problems. 
  • Contribute to the development of functional and performance specifications, risk and hazard analysis, human factors and usability engineering, and process reliability studies.
  • Provide leadership as a project engineer - identifying objectives, prioritizing, and completing project plans.
  • Provide technical support as needed to other departments (e.g. research, manufacturing, service, quality, clinical engineering).
  • All other duties, as assigned


  • B.S. Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required; minor (or similar background) in Computer Engineering, preferred
  • 0-2 years EE experience, required; preferably in a regulated industry (e.g. medical device)
  • Engineering experience with a project management role in a regulated industry, including verification/validation, risk analysis, manufacturing/quality implementation, and process qualification/improvement, preferred.
  • Skills preferred: analytical (e.g. Matlab), system installation/programming, technical documentation, CAD/Circuit Design, RF electronic measurement and troubleshooting techniques, familiarity with RFID, networking, digital logic, device interfacing, and microprocessors/microcontrollers 
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
