Dr. Bruce Murphy

Born in El Dorado, AR, Dr. Murphy graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. In addition to his Medical Degree, Dr. Murphy earned a Ph.D. in Pharmacology. At UAMS, he completed an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine as well as a Fellowship in Cardiology. In addition to his private practice at Little Rock Cardiology Clinic, he was the Medical Director at Arkansas Heart Hospital, President of Little Rock Cardiology Clinic, and Assistant Professor at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Dr. Murphy has had intensive interventional training experience with world-renowned cardiologists and has authored and contributed work to several medical publications. He trains cardiologists regularly from all across the United States and the world on advanced interventional techniques. His most recent interests are coronary and peripheral revascularization techniques and he is an invited speaker to numerous international conferences annually to speak on these subjects. His most current endeavor is transitioning into being President and CEO of Arkansas Heart Hospital.
